philips studio monitor speaker 22RH532 opinions

Hello all,

I was just given tweeters and midranges from a pair of philips studio monitor speakers model 22RH532.
Has anyone had any experience with these and what are your thoughts?

I was thinking of using them with a pair of KLH model six woofers in a 2 cubic foot sealed enclosure.

Those are Philips AD 0160 tweeters and AD 5060 midranges. Pretty popular drivers, you should be able to find plenty of info if you search by their model numbers.

Yes! That's it.
The efficiency (86db / 1W according to what I was able to find) may be a tad low for the KLH woofers.
I have a pair of AR-2a with buzzy mids that just may be the orphans waiting for these.
The AR crossover freq of 2000 / 7500 would be all wrong for these, so a different crossover will be in order.

Please don't cut up the AR cabinets if they're not an exact fit...you'll reduce their value considerably.

The nice thing about the AR-2a is that with the dual slanted cone mids and the dome tweet, all I have to do is make a mounting board for the mids and the tweets will sit in the tweet opening nicely. These are the least of my AR's and have cabinets that are less than perfect. The cone mids have one that's toasted as it is so these have just been awaiting resurrection.
