Phono stage for Mac c15 pre amp

RFC

New Member
Hello,
I'm running a MAC C15 preamp and play mostly vinyl coupled with MAC MC300. Was pondering buying the Vincent pho-8 phono stage due to reviews and price. Not sure if it's better than the C15 phono amp.Any thoughts? Thanks.

You might want to post on the McIntosh forum but I can't see you doing better than what's in there unless you go up quite a bit, and unless you're looking for MC in addition to MM? The C15 is quite a nice unit!
Thanks for the response. I am running MC with my Music Hall MMF7 table.

Thanks for the reply. I figured the same thing.

Thanks. What would be best way to go about it?

If using MM or MI cartridges, your phono stage will be good. The Step-Up transformers (I like Cinemag based models) are good for moving coils or very low output MI cartridges, choose cartridges depending on your musical taste, budget, and other needs.
