Phono stage quality in Phase Linear Model 3000 Series Two?

I´ve got a Nikko Beta 20 preamp and am considering an upgrade. I´ve seen a Phase Linear Model 3000 Series Two preamp on sale in nice condition, and wonder about the quality of its phono stage (moving coil, low output cartridges only). Would it be an improvemente over the phono stage of my Nikko?

I didn't listen to the phono stage, but if it is as well executed as the rest of the preamp, it should be very nice. It has one of the best stock volume controls I've ever seen in a preamp.
