Pickering V15//950ee cartridge

Hey AK!

I recently acquired a Pickering "V15/950ee" stylus used but with a pretty good looking stylus. Turns out that after install, alignment, and adjustment, it sounds like garbage and won't track at all! Just skates around despite having 1.5g, 2g, even 3g, on the arm. Anti skate was adjusted (on the Thorens at least) and I tried it on two different tables with the exact same result (AR XA and TD-160). I'm on the newer side of things for sure so apologies if this is a silly question. My first guess is the stylus is mangled and just needs replaced (it's marked D5E). Before I replace it, is this cartridge worth working with? I've never seen a cart labeled "V15/950ee" but I've seen both cartridges mentioned here separately and they both seem well liked. Hope this answers someone else's questions too!

I have a Stanton 681EE on the AR that sounds great and a new AT VM95ML on the Thorens that also sounds great so I don't need it right now, but I would like to know if it's worth hanging on to and experimenting w/ a new stylus. Thank you in advance and am so thankful for this community!

Not sure if this is helpful to anyone but the stylus was mangled. The cart works fine with a new D5E stylus and brush. I have it on the TD-16 and it sounds great. I wish I knew what the 950ee meant but some things remain a mystery.
