Here's mine.
I showed it to Don the other night when he stopped by. Ice cream maker, and an old Oreck portable shoe horned into a case I built and plumbed with PVC pipe. I found a nice sliding fitting at Lowe's so I can adjust the vacuum wand both up and down and on swivel. Velvet from a SA child's dress was used on the wand.

Works great!!

Any suggestoins as to how to slow this thing down? I tried a big variac, but no go. (Google searches revealed why.) Re-gearing the output is probably beyond my ability and/or threshold of patience.

Great idea for the cleaner. Probably better than my Dewalt, although mine is great for dust/moisture collection with the attached bag and everything....
Anyway, in all seriousness, try a router speed controller like this.

Thanks, eyedoc ... I may look in to that.

The problem I had using a variac was that the motor didn't really slow down effectively and when it did, all torque was completely gone. I might try this out, though it would double my overall $ investment in my RCM!
