Here is my Main rig from the mid 70's:
Top to Bottom:
H/K Rabco ST8 w/Sonus Gold Blue Cartridge
RG Systems RG Pro16 Range Expander
Sansui TU9900 Tuner
Soundcraftsman R2215 EQ
H/K Citation 17s Preamp with rack handles
Nakamichi 600 cassette deck
Inside the bottom of the custom built cabinet were 2 McIntosh MC2100 power amps run in Mono with whisper fans for cooling
Speakers were Janszen Z824's 2-12" sealed woofers and 8 electrostatic panels in each cabinet.
I have many fond memories of this system which I ran for 5 years.
Regards,
Jim

Let's see yours!

Hi Jim,
I'd love to participate but I have no pics:tears: from the 60's (my single digit years and not musical), the 70's (when I discovered music and equipment), or the 80's (not that you'd want to have seen that anyway!).

Tyler,
It sure looks like you are making up for lost time!:D

All I've got are scans of two faded photos from the 1980s. Sorry about the quality, but the photos have deteriorated badly. Pictured are:
my trusty Denon DP-59L, which I still have in mint condition, Fisher Studio Standard CC-3000 preamp, Nikko Alpha 450, ADC SS-115 graphic EQ, Nakamichi cassette deck (don't remember the model #) and Pioneer SR-9 reverb amp.

My rig in 1987 just a year after purchasing my long sought after Mach speakers.
Tried to put together a Realistic Radio Shack rig after my cousin sold me his receiver, and cassette deck in 83'. Since I had no way to get the Pioneer gear I really wanted I started to frequent the local RS store and buy everything silver I could.

Including:STA-2100 Receiver, 10-band EQ w/spectrum display, CD player, Single & double cassette decks, reverb unit, Lab TT, RCA ColorTrak TV, Realistic & Magnavox VCR's, Nintendo game sys., Akai 8-track rec./player and so on.

My first REAL stereo system. From 1983-1999.
