I have some horse mat around the shop as well! Not using it currently, though. I actually have those speakers up on hockey pucks, believe it or not. I bought a dozen practice pucks on Amazon for $20 bucks or so. I've used them for a bunch of things - they make great spacers. The racks are up on those hard polymer wheels, the shelves are 1" thick composite of some sort I'm sure, and then the hockey pucks which are some sort of hard durometer rubber. I did take the 3" bases off the speakers so they'd fit and still leave me a couple of shelves to work with up top for gear. Truth is, it's a very small room for those speakers and they deserve more space and better placement options, but the room is what I have so I'm trying to work with it. They definitely sound better there, and I still have more room treatment to figure out. I want something on the walls behind the racks. I talked about the racks a few posts/pages back:

I have some B-speaker cable routed under the console so I can always bring in another pair to play with.

My other listening space is my shop setup. This room is basically a walled-in carport between the house and the detached garage. The walls are literally aluminum siding, concrete block, and old wood paneling. The floor is concrete slab with very thin cheap industrial "carpet" and a couple of rugs. The ceiling is low and finished with what I'm willing to bet is asbestos tile. The room is long. It sounds fantastic. Much better than the main living room. We try to hang out in the main room, but we always migrate to the shop (for beer) and end up hanging out there because it sounds better when we turn it up.

I have 4-5 pairs worth keeping, a couple pair are for systems I'm putting together for my kids, and a one or two refoam projects for learning that skill. Most of them are overzealous newbie thrift store "bargain" purchases that are never going to see action and I need to move them along.
 
My space for this week. Out with the horns, in with the JBL. My L150a, L77, RBH sv-61/R, Bose 901 V, very old Jensen. A mix of Hafler, Accuphase and AR seperates.

Speakers are DIY horn bass reflex with Eminence 15" and compression tweeters & horn lens. Design by Pi. OTL tube kit monoblock amps from Transcendent Sound. Venerable Hafler 220 amp for summer use. My first kit build back in the late 80's. The OTL's put out some heat. Little wooden box is a line preamp built from schematic called the Grounded Grid, also Transcendent Sound. Regrettably no longer in business due to tariff costs for parts. The gear cabinet is DIY also. I listen mainly to records with the wall mount Technics 1200.

I am not too impressed with myself. I spent about 4 hours yesterday pulling my system apart. Then I rebuilt it with my NAD T748, my 535II, My Vegas, ProCenter 2000, BP-1.2x, PF-700, and Monitor Audio FB-210.

Music sucks, the internal EQ is brutal. I will try a couple of different configs before I go for my nap :D

I know my NAD is no spring chicken, but it is a lot newer than my GFP-345 lol..
