after using half a can of brasso and nail polish remover, ...and countless calories, this is what my marantz 170DC looks like.

performace, ..splendid as expected, ...although i don
t have a pre-amp to match it with, ..currently using the cd -player directly into it with the gain knobs serving as volume controls


the one caveat is that i erazed all the lettering in an attempt to remove 25 years of tarnish and varnish

thanks for all the replies to my earlier posts, .. and more once i find a matching pre-amp.

Even though all of the lettering came off, it looks really good.
In fact, I think it really shows off those lovely meters even more!

Nice work! I'm impressed...I'm not usually much for gold faced audio but classic Marantz can be any color and still be amazing!
