Some of those old scopes may have enough desirable tubes in them to make it worthwhile. It's tough to tell what is buried under and behind all that stuff.

Also, all you need to find is a tube tester in the pile to make it worthwhile...

They describe it as being a boatload of vintage tube equipment and then tell you to bring a truck. Wouldn't you want to bring a boat?

Hard to tell from the crap pics. Couple of the cases look mighty "Boatanchorish", you COULD luck up there...Tube scopes ? You need 3-One to "Work", one to back up the 1st when it takes a dump, & then a relatively new SS model to actually do what you started to do in the 1st place...(grin)

:yes: you'd be surpirsed what's in some test gear for tubes gz34's alone would make it worth it.i'd also be making a trip if it was local.he also states theres more than whats in the pictures so who knows what gems might be there.if someone is local i'd be responding to the ad .:yes:

I found an old oscilloscope being thrown out a while back. It was full of tubes, including 4 6DJ8s. They were Amperex or Telefunken or Mullard or something nice. Lots of good stuff. Wish I had saved the transformer, but man, a nice lot of tubes. I pulled a bunch of Mullard something-or-others out of an old signal generator or something once.

Excellent point. OTOH, maybe it's one of those weird "drive on the parkway and park in the driveway" type of things.

If close by could be worth investigating...... especially to see what the "lot more than appears in the pictures" consists of.
