Pilot 240 integrated

Tube Noob here,
Found a pilot 240 3-channel stereo plus Amp with 4 amperex bugle boy el84's, 5 telefunken 12ax7's, and an Amperex bugle boy gz34 rectifier, at the local thrift for $12.99 (don't tell anyone). It sounds great, only a right channel hum on phono at higher volume, and the case is in great condition.
Although I am rolling the dice by playing it, I hate to take it out of rotation to re-cap.
Any suggestions on brand of capacitors to use, I want to have a great sounding amp when completed. How much on average will the caps cost? Best source for caps? how do oil caps compare, are they worth the cost?
Anyone done one of these before?
Thanks,
Doug

Nice find. Sounds very similar in tube complement to my Pilot 110A. I had mine recapped and I believe the tech used "orange drops". Not sure what type those are but the amp sure sounds nice.

I wish someone could tell what the deal is with that center channel speaker connection. What exactly is getting sent there?

I now officially dislike you!

Kidding!:D I'm telling everyone.

The toughest part will be replacing the can shaped multi section capacitors in the power suppy. Remember that you can go up in voltage rating but not down. Also, when capacitors are wired in parallel the capacitance is additive. Two .22 mf caps wired parallel equal .44 mf. Antique Electric Supply may have an exact match for your multi section caps.

Also; jealous.

Thank you all for your input. I have replaced the capacitors in a set of speakers once, but this is a whole new experience for me. I found these caps to replace the ones in the cans.

Can 1 = 80/40 @400v, can 2 = 40/40/20 @350v. I know I will also need a 20.
Are they sufficient?
I read that the cathode bias caps should be polyproplyene, how can I tell which are the cathode bias? They should make a kit that has all the caps and resistors for numbskulls like me. Can someone point me in the right direction? Is there a difference between these caps, and the loner ones with the leads on each end?
At this rate, it will take the whole winter to research which caps and resistors to buy.
Thanks,
Doug
