Pilot console scroe

I got this off CL. The price was right - free. I was the second guy to come to pick it up. The first guy decided he didn't want it because it was too heavy (no, I'm not making this up). It's a model 654.
It is really heavy and missing many tubes, but I'm not complaining.
Sorry about some of the bad photos.

All I ever find are those 3 channel motorola things.:thumbsdn: Congrats on a sweet receiver.:thmbsp:

Very cool. I have a Pilot 240 integrated that I love. I find myself using it more than my Fisher 400. Much better phono section. Looks like it could make a nice stand alone if you didn't want to mess with the cabinet. Enjoy!

in my handtool/woodworking circles, such a fine scroe is always greeted with a "youuu suuuuuuuck".

well, "youuu suuuuuuuuck". :) congrats on the scroe!

I'm sorry but no one has commented on what type of dumbass shows up for a free piece of gear and passes cause it's too heavy. If it costs anything maybe, but for free?

Wow, that is a really nice find. You also picked up a Garrard Type A record changer. That is really cool too. Once everything is cleaned up and set right, you should have one very nice sounding system. Congratulations!

Hi EV,

Congrats on finding a nice Pilot! A couple of years ago, I bought a MONO Pilot Console for twenty dollars. I removed the lil' Pilot Mono Integrated Amp AA-903B (EL-84) and had it brought back up to spec. I use the lil' Pilot with my circa 1950's (custom Eames) Stephens Tru-Sonic Horn Speaker.
My Pilot/Stephens MONO system is by far my favorite system. I hope you'll enjoy your new Console.

Regards,
SixCats!
