Pilot Console

Looking for some info. I recently purchased a Pilot console with a Pilot 700 Series tube tuner amp and a Garrard A Type II turntable. The unit powers up and pulls in the local radio stations well. There is some sound balance issues, but I think a good cleaning with Deoxit will take care of that. The turntable works but not in the automatic mode. I do have the original owners manual, but there is no indication when the unit was made or the value. Any info would be great.

Wow, the receiver is a hybrid, solid state amplification. Appears to be high quality Garrard TT, Pilot used some great stuff in their consoles.

Looks like a '65 Concord III (Model 7034-Early American). Garrard Type A turntable. Cabinet is cherry and should be 61" long. Advertised as 70 watts solid state with eight speakers including 12" woofers, mids, tweets and super-tweets. Original MSRP was $895. A Pilot tube hybrid might be worth restoring if you plan on keeping it. Not much value on the open market, though.

Guys,
Thanks for the quick responses and info. I plan on keeping the console and having it tuned and cleaned. You were right on on the dimensions and model number, I'm new to this era of stereo's and you refered to this being a "hybrid", does this take away from the "tube" quality of sound reproduction? Thanks for the assist.
