While walking the dog last night I took the opportunity to inspect the neighborhood trash as it was being put at curbside. Normally there is nothing of note, but last night I found an old console stereo. The brand was Pilot, so I ran for the van and dragged it home. I'm traveling today so don't have time for a detailed inspection, but the quick look revealed a Pilot model 500 stereo tube amp, a Pilot tuner (unknown model number), Garrard turntable, and Jensen speakers. The cabinet itself is faily cheap wood and probably not worth keeping.
Does anyone have any info on the Pilot Model 500? My quick internet search turned up nothing.
Oh, and it works, by the way. Before I could get out the variac, one of my kids had plugged it in and turned it on. Sounded pretty good!
