Pilot Solid State Console receiver...

Danimal

Just a man...
Are the Pilot solid state receivers any good? I found a Pilot mini console roadside with a Garrard Model 50 TT in it. I have read that the Pilot tubers are good so I figured I would grab it anyway. So far the only model number I can find on it is on the front faceplate - "30W" Any info? I can get the serial number off the chassis if that would help in identifying it. I will try to get some extra crappy pictures posted in a few.

OK... So, I took some pics nad saw that the model number was partially destroyed so it reads "Model xx45"?

Any help?

Certainly looks like it dates to the time when Pilot was still a top-shelf brand competing with the likes of HH Scott and Fisher...

Thanks - Hopefully I can get it pulled and take it to my tech and see what if he can get her up and running.

Pilots were good.I am not sure when they went down the tubes.I had a ss receiver from around "73.Decent unit.
