Pink Floyd 18 children by 8 wives

I'm not exactly the smartest guy on the planet, but it seems that 18 divided by 4 equals 4.5 children each. What the hell is so staggering about that?

I didn't write the article. Just posting.

Thought it was interesting. Guess it was just me.

If you can AFFORD 4 or 5 chilluns, fine, more power to you. If you CAN'T then shame on you... Considering the profligate lifestyles some in the "Rock" business live, the most amazing thing might be that there ARE ONLY 4.5 chilluns for each of 'em.

I understand you didn't write the article. "EIGHTEEN children by eight wives"..."and a staggering 18 children" are the authors words. I just don't see what his big deal is. 18 kids, and there was a pretty wide variation of what they've done as they've aged. I think if you took 18 random AKer's and did the same kind of study you might find similar results. And don't get me wrong. I like PF as well as anyone, just finished reading Echoes, and am in the middle of Nick Mason's book right now. To me it just seemed like a mountain out of a molehill article. Doesn't reflect on you at all. :thmbsp:

Thank you. I guess you have to consider the source, maybe it's some sort of gossip type publication like the ones at the grocery check out line.

Here's my take on it. If you took 18 random AKer's I don't think all of them would have the kind of education and upbringing these kids have/had.

May 5th, The Wall BOK Center Tulsa. I'm Hyped.

I would be too! My only option was Wrigley Field for $250 a ticket. I don't want to chance sitting in the rain to see the Wall.

(PS - Since I work PT for Live Nation at an outdoor venue I do get soaked a lot. At least then I'm getting paid for it. I always have a change of clothing and a full rain suit to wear .. oh and knee high rubber boots if I need them!)

I just wish/hope that they'll decide to bring The Wall tour through Hong Kong. I saw the previous tour when it was here, and despite the cost, I'd pay again to see the new tour, without hesitation. Roger Waters' PF-revival stuff is of the better concert experiences around today, IMO.
