Pioneer A-8 ~ Anyone familiar with it ?

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for quite a while but haven't plucked up the courage to post anything until now! I have never really owned any vintage gear apart from a brief fling with a Pioneer SA-708 until its transistors went into meltdown :tears: I just stumbled across a slightly more recent Pioneer amp but I'd still call it 'vintage' !

I'm looking at a Pioneer A-8 amp but cant find any information on it at all online so i thought I'd tap the huge knowledge base of this 'ere forum....

I know its bigger brother the A-9 is (quite) highly regarded but im trying to find out if the A-8 is worth buying or not ? Has anyone heard / owned one at all & care to comment ?

I had one a long time ago.
Great amp, though underappreciated probably because of the design.
If I remember correctly it's about 80 WPC.
