7MGTE Power!
I have a Pioneer A60 I picked up recently. After thorough deoxit of controls and a little work on the phono switch, was working very nicely. I was putting together a cap list for and and I had replaced my little SA6500 with it, so i was using it every day looking for issues. Well one day my wife said something about it growling at her. I checked it out and one channel had quit working. Initially I thought some of the dirt might have just moved around in the volume control or something as it was pretty bad when I got it.
Took it to my little work room and messed around and found out it has the right channel out, plays in the left channel and when I turn it up the protection relay kicks on. I have narrowed it down to the power amp section but that is as far as I can get. Any suggestions? I am going to recap it if I can get it going. It sounded nice until it quit! I had already ordered the caps before it died....... lol.
