Pioneer Amp Restoration

Hello All,
First time post here. I recently threw the dice and picked up a Pioneer SA8500II at the Sally Ann for $10. Turns out it isn't currently working. I have looked up the reviews on this amp, and figure it might be worth having it restored. I have no idea how much a restoration typically costs (if there is a typical cost). All the knobs seem to be turning fine. I took the cover off, and would say that it is pretty clean. The two fuses I saw don't appear to be blown. When I plugged it in and turned it on, the typical "click" after a few seconds occurred, but the power light is not working. I plugged my phone into a few of the inputs using an rca adapter, and got nothing.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Recommendations to a shop in Cental Ontario would also be appreciated.

Depending how far you go, restoration can cost hundreds of dollars. But you can probably get a working amp for a lot less than that. You could have a basic repair done (or try doing that yourself) and then consider a more complete restoration.

That the relay is clicking in is a good sign. No power light may just mean that the bulb is burned out. The various switch and relay contacts may be dirty internally, so your phone output might not be getting past those to the amp. You can learn how to fix things simple things like that here at AK if you are interested. But if you want a "pro" to do it that's fine too. I'm sure someone here can help you with a recommendation.
