Pioneer Belt-Dr Motors?

I have a Pioneer belt drive turntable, a Pl-50.
It needs a new motor. I don't see (for sale) a motor for this model,
but I often see others for sale, e.g., Pioneer PL-A35D or PL-115D. etc.
Are various Pioneer belt-drive turntable motors tuned to specific platters?

Or are some interchangeable?

Probably the biggest problem in swapping turntable motors is the mounting. They all mount differently.
Get the service manual for your turntable and note the Pioneer part number for the motor then look in the service manuals of other, similar, Pioneer turntables until you find a match.
Also, you could try a Google search for the motor using the Pioneer part number. Some parts vendors list other machines which use the same part. I once found a tonearm counterweight that way.

Are you sure it needs a new motor and is not something related to the motor?

Yeah, i can't see the motor dying in this model unless its not oiled per manual every two months.

Believe me, I know a dead motor when I meet it. I got a replacement, eventually.
