Pioneer Cassette

I’m reconnecting some of my old electronic, reel to reel, cassette deck, receiver, etc. My Pioneer CT-F750 is having an issue. It will fast forward, RW, but when I press play the head will engage but the devices that are supposed to turn the cassette wheels won’t turn. So here are my questions: (1) what do you think is the issue(2) can a complete novice such as myself fix it and (3) if I can find a shop in Charlotte, NC, is it worth the cost to fix given the low market for cassettes. I appreciate any and all recommendations.

Very easy to do! You may have a belt or two that have turned to goo. You will need some isopropyl alcohol and q-tips for that.
So to directly answer your question (1) belts (2) yes you can (3) don't worry bout that yet..:beerchug:

yes, there are other more exotic problems it can be but start with the basics first!
