Pioneer CS-822A woofer replacement

I have bought a mint condition Pioneer CS-822A speaker pair, but with unoriginal Vifa woofers.
I want to replace them wioth more accurate (for the speaker) woofers, but
it´s not possible to find any useful data on the original drivers ( Small/ Thiele).
Is there anyone who have the chance/ possibility to measure the original drivers with DAT or similar?
Any info, especially the efficiency, is good.

Doubtful you're going to get the info you requested. Another option is to reverse engineer the speaker enclosure and simulate the design with vituix software. I did this with a set of altec Lansing model 3-ii I got from a yard sale. First Determine Box Volume and vent size. Then you have to find a woofer that best fits the enclosure data and the existing cutout, mounting. It took a while for me to find one, I determined and bought a couple of faital pro 10rs350, worked out great. A few issues to deal with are crossover and matching driver sensitivities. hopefully you can do the same. Good luck
 
Thank you for the reply rcs16. I think I have the possibility to do that in Bassbox Pro which I have, although it´s quite a big task.
 
Yes it is but in my case it was worth the effort. Diyaudio has a multi-speaker section with folks that know speaker design well, they might be able to help you with your selection once you have the enclosure data. Internal volume, vent length and diameter if it's a bass reflex design.
