Looking to mod my CS-88A's. I bought them missing 3 of the 4 tweeters (P/N 77-701F). I plan to keep looking for originals, but in the mean time wanted to get operational with some sort of replacement. Originals were (2) 16 ohm in parallel, but there's really nothing out there for replacements.
So, I'm thinking why not (2) 4 ohm in series?
This is a 4-way, and info I've found says the tweets cross in @ 3.5KHz. Super tweet takes over at 10KHz.
I've found a 4 ohm that will fit the existing screw holes and the cutout (except the terminals, I will need to cut notches :thumbsdn

Fs is way down at 750Hz, resistance is nice and flat across the band of interest at about 3.7 to 3.9 ohm.
I'm new to this, so if a guru or two could critique my plan, I'd really appreciate it. I'm concerned about the unknowns, such as the characteristics of the original that I don't have details on- coil inductance, sensitivity, rated power, and how differences may effect the sound.
