Pioneer CS-88a + Sansui 9090DB Troubleshooting

Hi AK community. I've been slowly rehabbing the aforementioned equipment (Pioneer CS-88a Speakers + Sansui 9090DB receiver) over the past year and, after making some headway, I seem to have met my match. I started as a complete novice (i.e. didn't know how to solder, had never even heard of a fuse resistor), but have been able to YouTube and forum-search my way through replacing a speaker selector switch and some fuse resistors on the driver board to get the Sansui out of protected mode. After these surgeries, the receiver worked. On to the speakers...

The speakers needed some work. After some initial testing to figure why the sub wasn't firing on either speaker, I wound up re-capping them both. The first seemed to work and played fine, but I realized a female disconnect had broken on a speaker wire so I replaced that as well while recapping the second speaker.

Now, neither speaker works. (?!)

When I plug the speakers up, neither gets sound. Except, that is, for when I switch the speaker selector to "off"–– then the speakers buzz with static.

The receiver appears to be pushing power to both speakers according to the meters visible on the receiver.

Any clue of where to start? Grateful for the help!
