Pioneer CS-R770

I picked up a pair of Pioneer CS-R770 speakers today and I can't find any information on the value or the technical specifications of the speakers. Anyone have any information on these. Thanks

Look to be from about 1973, if they're what I'm thinking about. Are they a moderately large 3-way speaker, with like a 12" or 15" woofer, with a horn mid/tweeter setup (IIRC)? If so, they're pretty special. One of the more high-end domestic Japanese products of its time (wasn't really sold over in the USA, formally, when new), and one that was surprisingly well-received by audiophile types here in the USA, too... those who actually GOT TO HEAR ONE, that is. They never made many of them, AFAIK.

There's also a more modern Pioneer that uses the same model number... but it apparently was a small mini-monitor-sized thing from the 1990s, made for home theater. Nothing special, IMHO...

Here's hoping it's about 34 years old, and not 10.

I have the same speakers that I picked up at a garage sale for 25$
They are 4 way speakers with great sound. I have them hhoked up to my Onkyo receiver and they rock. Great sound. Any idea what they sold for new? What do you think they are worth now?

You're thinking of the CS-R700. Very different speaker. I have a pair that I really like.

Any more experiences with these speakers ? Sound, durability of drivers, crossover issues ? Would love to hear. Already PM'd starrider1 in case they are not monitoring this thread.
