Pioneer Gurus CS-T66 from Japan pics inside...

Have a chance to buy these n near mint shape for 50bux. Older gentleman bought these new in Japan he thinks it was 77. Can't find much info. Carbon fibre/paper mid n woofer drivers,
(How does that work).. titanium tweeters... Cast aluminum baskets on woofers.....Any input? Thanks guys!

Sounds like a well built speaker, and not a ruinous price. Why not go listen to them? Whether you like them or not is the info you really need, not what what other people think of them. The general opinion often has merit and is a useful datum, but these may be rare enough that there is no general opinion, and maybe not even random individual views.
 
This is pretty rare speaker from pioneer's exclusive line.
They are likely worth 10x the asking price
 
I got them. They are amazing! The guy even had the sales brochure, of course its in Japanese, lol. Isn't it rare for pioneer to use titanium in there tweets back then? They are built like a tank also. The domed mids are really sweet as well. I'll report back after I spend some time with them. :-) I also picked up a mint Sansui. G-7700! :-)

Well guys, I've been listening to them all night, and am very impressed! The dome mid is amazing, it just follows you around the room! I am still smiling! I love the new Sansui also. I'm being kinda timid with the volume on the g-7700 though. These speakers are rated at 60w, but they are built like a tank...still I'm afraid to push them yet I guess.... lol. Anywho, was a very good day!
 
Wow. What a score. Those remind me of the Technics SB-1000's. Built like tank and over-engineered. Probably better than 99% of what has ever been sold.
