Press Play and Stand Back
So I couldn't resist, had to pick up this little jewel ($40, couldn't say no!). Works, sounds great in Play mode. Horizontal tray loading.
With no tape, both FF and REW function as they should. Yeah, with NO tape. Once a tape is in (and depending which reel the tape is stacked towards) then FF or REW might work for a bit, slow down and stop. I eliminated the tape itself being the problem, tried a few different tapes, including a NOS Maxell XL II.
Likely suspects? New belts? Motor needs attention of some sort? Not sure how to proceed to troubleshoot.

If someone could point me in a direction to proceed, I would appreciate it!
