Hello, I need helping fixing my Pioneer Stereo Cassette Deck (CT-F1250). Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated. Here is what happened. So, the cassette deck was playing just fine (20 minutes in) until I heard it stop playing. I went to press the play button again as the tape was not done playing side A. But, when I tried to press play nothing worked. I then tried FF, RW, pause and no response. All the buttons on the right (counter, tape etc... function). Just the buttons below the cassette (FF, RW, pause, play,). I have no idea what went wrong.
Here is what I did and checked.
- Fuses are all good
- Before I noticed the 7W 12 ohm resistor gets hot, but now its cold to the touch
- I unplugged and plugged back in the wires that lead from the buttons to the electrical board
- Moved around the wires thinking maybe a wire got loose
- I noticed one of legs of the black piece above the power button became loose. I soldered it back on (last image).
I do not have experience with signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc... I do know how to use a multimeter and soldering gun.
