I have a very peculiar problem with my Pioneer CT-F8080, in that it will play fine, rewind fine but when it comes to FF, it will do so for probably 5 seconds and then will stop, also when FF, the tape counter does not operate, whereas it works fine when playing and RW.
Any ideas what may be happening.
The clutch mechanism appears to be fine, it is not cracked, I disassembled it and cleaned a little while a go. The deck has been working faultlessly.
