Finished the SX 1980 and Pioneer PL 510 turntable and its owner brought me his CTF 1000. Have not looked under the hood yet. Slow in FF and REW. Anyone here played with one? Any tips will be greatly appreciated..Thanks Eric:music:

Both the service and owner's manuals for the CTF-1000 are available from the AK Pioneer Manual database, so that may be a good place to start.

All the best,

FF/REW reel idler/clutch has split in a critical place. Do a search and you will find remedies. The problem with nylon, is that H2O is a part of its makeup, which makes it just a bit unstable, and tend to split in places where it is stressed, particularly after 30+ years.

Enjoy,
Rich P
