hi tape experts and happy new year!

Im currently restoring a Pioneer CTF-1000, I have noticed some of the 2sc711 transistors are heavily tarnished and noisy in the Dolby play/rec boards.

what is the best substitute for this location? I have KSC1845 FTA and KSC945, the later has a similar hfe ~250 however the KSC1845 all sit around 450 hfe.

Any suggestions welcome, thanks!

none of them will be my favorite The BC 550b or c will be a good choice. This is cheap and easy to find on ebay The pinout is different but electrical is better suited than the original

Thankyou I have a heap of the 550c on hand so I can use those I found some others that look suspect also on the rwc 178a main board too so I’ll change them out with b550c too
