There were an NOS pair in the boxes at an estate sale I went to on Friday. Same price, no one was interested for some reason.
Only reason I didn't go for them was that they seemed kind of small. I'd like to try the HPM series speakers, but I am waiting on the larger ones (I guess the HP-100)
 
Yes they are small 22 inches high, I'm wondering how the bottom end is being such a small cabinet with a ten inch woofer
 
I saw a refoamed pair listed local,$200 also.
The thing that scared me off was a thread about refoaming them,said you had to modify the surrounds to get them to fit.
Was concerned they weren't done correctly,and would end up buying a project.

Great information . Thank you . Trying to get an idea of what these should sound like without ever hearing a pair .
 
I did some research on them when i saw them listed local,the reviews were good,and supposedly much better then the 40's.

If they would have been the 700's i think i would have jumped on them.
Maybe one day i will luck into a pair of the larger HPM's at a good price.
