Pioneer hpm-60

I just picked up a set of hpm 60s.
They seem to be of lower quality and use cheaper components than all of the hpm 60s that i have run across.
Also they are rated for lower power handeling 60 watts max 30 watts nominal,and the woofers are steel frame with foam surrounds.
I am going to re foam the woofs ,clean them up a bit,and use them with one of my low power receivers :thmbsp:

Were these the last of the HPM series?

Those were the earlier style. The second were the carbon-fiber cast
baskets and then they went to the 500-1100 series with the brittle
Carbon Woofers with cast baskets.

Were these the last of the HPM series?

The HPM-1100's were made from the '81-'83, The HPM 40's, 700's & 900's were made from '80-'82. If you mean the "last", or lowest in the line up, that would be the HPM-40's. I'll take a pair of any of 'em. :thmbsp:
