Pioneer HPM 700 Restoration Help (with non-OEM)

I purchased a pair of Pioneer HPM 700s the other day as a project but they are missing the midrange drivers and the woofers are in a near non-reparable state. I was hoping to get some advice on how I should go about with this restoration and if it is worth restoring.

I was looking at updating the caps, picking up a pair of Fostex 4" full range drivers and I haven't thought too much about the woofers quite yet.

Looking to get any advice/input on how to proceed with this project.

Thanks!

Just saw this thread. I have woofers from hpm-60's and also the mids from the hpm 700. I will sell for a competitive price. Not sure if you are still looking but PM if you are interested.

Try reaching out to Leesonic
I think he did just about the same project .
Maybe he can save you some legwork

This is an old thread but some of the links don't work. Has anyone found a board style banana jack that I can install in place of the existing push terminals? Or, is there a way to remove the plastic red/black covers so I can clean up the actual terminal?

thanks
Bob
