Hello everyone. I'm a pioneer fan that has decided to build a full rack with the equipment of my collection. I came across the pioneer rack and handles line on the web, and along with it, found the absurd prices that these pieces go on sale on ebay nowadays too (some go for the price of the equipment itself).
So I decided to build my own replicas, since the design seems very simple.
I searched the web and forums and saw that building replicas of these pieces are an ongoing quest for many, that apparently, the answers haven't been brought back for the general audio community.
I'm here to try to change that.
i decided to start building the replicas by the shelves (since i got a lookalike rack that i think they will fit). By studying the blueprints and scavenging old forums i was able to obtain almost all the measurements necessary for the construction, but unfortunately some big and important chunks are still missing in the project.
Annexed in this post are some pictures of the web of originals JA-R101’s, i have signaled with red lines the parts that still bring me doubt about exact measurements.
If anyone in this forum that has an original JA could give a look and share the answer for my problems I would be very grateful, and I promise that, when my little project is done, I will share the files I used to build my box with everyone.
