Pioneer M-90 C90 problem

i have a Pioneer M-90 and C-90. When I connect them together through the control amp input I get no sound. However when I connect them through the line input or CD direct it works. Any issues doing it this way? Ideas for the cause of this problem? Thanks!

Welcome to AK.. Could be a dirty function switch or poor solder connections around said switch.
