Agreed!

OK,i have both sansui and pioneer gear now as for recievers,i have 15 plus of pioneer and sansui models.1250 pioneer and a g2200 sansui right down to the little ones,i say sansui makes the best gear for sound and longest working units.the sansui g series are rocking units to me the pioneers are on the bright side.sansui a better bass unit and i am a bass freak.I HAVE NO DEAD SANSUI BUT WAY TO MANY DEAD PIONEER.I VOTE SANSUI.

I vote for the receivers that find me at a very reasonable price and so far it is 3 Sansui and 1 Pioneer and 1 Yamaha.

At my age, my hearing will not let me judge much by listening.

Ehy have a pioneer when you can find them at nearly any thrift store?

Sansui’s are a bit more uncommon, look fantastic and sound even better.

Nothing wrong with Pioneer, great brand and they sound great too. I could/would be very happy with a decent quality pioneer rig.

But for my money, Sansui’s of equivalent model line levels edges Pioneer out every time.

YMMV….;)

I've owned four Pioneer receivers over the years, SX-838. SX-1010, SX-3800. and a SX-750. I thought the SX-3800 was the best, but it couldn't hold a candle to my Sansui 881. The Pioneers are all gone along with a couple of Marantz receivers I had. I still have my 881 a 6060 and a 9090. Love vintage Sansui receivers, they just sound right. I have my 881 powering a pair of refurbished KLH Model 6s. Really nice sounding system.

I moved on from vintage receivers as a main listening source a while back. When I was using them Sansui is what grabbed me.

Two threads Polls from @91firebird on the same topic
Suggest you merge the threads of DELETE this new one ...

With all due respect, I am not a fan of merging threads. It is normal for topics to be discussed multiple times, across different time ranges, and by different people (or sometimes some of the same people). IMHO merging threads destroys flow, continuity, and individual character of each independent thread. In addition, if merging threads were to become a trend, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to determine where to draw the line in deciding to merge, or not to merge. There are a multitude of threads where some degree, small or large, of topic overlap exists. Better to allow imperfection, duplication, and original post sequence to remain intact.

SANSUI!

My G8000 had people kneeling in the driveway anytime I turned the monster on and neighbors and passers by would hear that sternum pounding THAWACK! when the the juice would hit the Paradigms. OH, YES! ONLY SANSUI!
