Pioneer P-D70 issues

So I just bought a vintage Pioneer P-D70 CD player on Letgo. When I came to pick it up the guy plugged it in and played a disc and it sounded great, I tried most of the buttons (FF, Rew, Track skip, etc) which worked fine. Then when I brought it home it worked fine for about 10-15 minutes, which after that it started acting strangely. The unit works fine for around 9.50 seconds (I timed it) but doesnt play cds in that time, then after 9.50 seconds none of the buttons work and the tray won't open, if I turn the unit off and on the cycle restarts. I'm thinking it could be one of the tranistors/capacitors not working, but I don't have anyway to know which one. Does anyone else have this problem? Any help is appreciated! Thanks

Check the “ Transport” locking screw in the rear & make sure it’s not engaged. You can also post the question in the Pioneer forum for more information. I’ve had two with bad lasers that eventually went out. Good luck

The transport locking isn't engaged, and I will check out the pioneer forum, thanks for the suggestion!
