Pioneer PD-93 Elite CDP - do they still make them like this (w/nudies)

The Sony ES X7 series came close to this level of build quality. It had declined a bit when they got to my XA7ES but it's still pretty nice.

That is a tank for sure, would love one.

My new/current Marantz SA-11s2 has similar build quality, pictures don't do its size/heft justice. So they do make them like that now, but they aren't cheap. My old Denon DVD-9000 and 5000 are like that, too, but they're over a decade old now. The transport on the Marantz is killer. Same transport as in their even better SA-7.

Some day i will show you the internals of my Sony CDP-R1/DAS-R1. Some day.....

Can't do it now, listening to some fine music over these units.

I also have a grundig CD-9009. Also very nice build.

Sorry...have to pick my jaw off of the floor! Wonderful looking machine(s), from afar. I can only image how good it is in person.

Totally agree. The DAS-R1 is pretty much the only piece that I'm lusting for and haven't been able to find.
