Was just telling a friend how reliable my Pioneer 6 cd changer was. Ordered a spare 6 cd cartridge the same day. Of course the player immediately stopped reading the same day. I guess I put the whammy on myself. Well anyway after reading the Laserology thread I determined the laser was good but not reading. After exhausting all typical causes,dust, dirt, loose wires I decided to fiddle with the four calibration pots. They were all set at about 5 oclock in relation to a clock dial with 6 oclock being in the middle. The first two away from me I turned a half of a number each way with no effect so I returned them to their original position. The next two, I should have done one at a time, but I didn't for some reason,. I turned to the 430 position.The cd loaded and played fine. So as laserology points out dont fiddle with these adjustments except as a last resort when nothing else works. By then you have nothing to lose anyway.
