Pioneer PD-M700 CD changer problem

I have in my hands a Pioneer PD-M700 magazine style CD changer from 1988. The unit powers up; but, the magazine won't stay in the unit. I tried holding the magazine in place with my finger; but, it still won't load the disc.

My experience with CD player repair is limited; so, does anyone have any ideas on this one? Thanks.
