Pioneer PD-S904

Good morning, afternoon or evening.

Would somebody be able to help me?

My Pioneer PD-S904 has started acting the goat and now it will only read up to a maximum of 40 seconds of a track and then reset back to track one. As I traverse through the CD the play time lessens as if it’s only on some sort of timer. Has anybody any experience of this and can they offer any insight as to how I repair this?

Your help is very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Maybe it needs a good cleaning etc. Grease the RAILS where the laser rides on. Also check the cable where the laser is and make sure its not jammed.

Thanks for the reply.

I have went with your advice but still no joy. I can hear the pick up clicking to engage but then shortly after it clicks again and stops. I do n’t know if this means anything but when I put it in TEST mode it plays perfectly.

Any ideas before I drop kick it out the window?
