Pioneer PL-12D running to slow

Hi,

Just bought a Pioneer pl-12D, which looked great on the outside..

Problem : Runs to slow, no pitch anywhere to see.. Arm doesn't go up anymore with the switch (the thing goes up a little bit but doesnt lift the arm).

Tried a new belt, but changed nothing :(

Some thoughts?

Like ^ said. Might also check the spindle for ease of motion.

Yup, there is no pitch adjustment on a PL-12D. Insofar as the tone arm lift, I'd check the mechanicals underneith.
