Pioneer pl-1800 vs Pioneer Pl590

Hi I'm wondering if anyone has information on how the Pioneer Pl1800 ranks compared to the pioneer PL590? Is it considered better? I realize it was released only in Japan so it's a bit harder to find information on it. Anyone have one or has anyone heard one? I've already searched online but all of the threads are rather old or lacking in information and I was wondering how it ranks in the line up of vintage turntables.

I think you must mean the PLC-590. The PL-590 is junk by comparison to either of those.

It seems like a tough decision between those two, but you might want to add the PL-70L (II) in if you're looking. The PLC-590 seems to rank as higher end than the 1800.

My mistake, I actually meant the pioneer pl-570 turntable. The 1970s model, my mistake.

Ah. Looking at the specs, it looks like it's manual, but the same arm and motor as the pl-570.

You might also consider a PL-50L (II). I have one and it's my main deck.

Ah okay that's good to know. I have a pioneer pl570 currently and was just curious if it would be an upgrade.

I'll look into the PL-50L (II) but I think it's most likely out of my budget at the moment. Thanks for the advice.
