I’m attempting to fix a PL-400 TT that drags slow with each platter revolution. When taking apart the shell, I believe a spring went flying somewhere that maybe was attached to the on/off switch. I’ve looked at the schematic and can’t figure it out what size and how it is attached.
The platter will spin when the tone arm is at the edge.
Not certain I fixed the slow down issue but have sprayed CRC electronic cleaner at the pots and gave them some twists.
I have a Neiko brand scope and it looks like the two speeds are spinning consistently, but at a higher and lower rate. I can adjust with the scope but also need to buy a new stylus for ADC Integra XLM-1 (I broke the stylus) so can’t yet check if plate rotation is now (perhaps miraculously) correct by ear.
