Hey Gang,

Does anyone know the spindle to pivot distance and null points on a Pioneer PL-41 tonearm? Thanks!

There were several revisions of the turntable, I'm not sure about the earlier ones but the PL-41A came with the PA-100 tonearm which uses the same geometry as Micro Seiki, Acos and Rega (222mm spindle to pivot, 15mm overhang).

I appreciate that. I believe I have an early version. Heavier with no anti-skating. My version comes with the PL-C9 cartridge.

It’s actually in the service manual, let me pull that up! You can also download it on VE.

That PL-C9 is a nice cart, I recent picked up a NOS one.

So it’s 9/16th” overhang, but I don’t see the specs of the arm. I think you are correct on the 222mm as I remember reading that a while back.

Thanks so much! Btw that’s the best looking PL-41 I’ve ever seen. I’m setting the PL-C9 cart/ PL-41 arm combo up with a Technics SP-15 (For an amazing price from a great AKer). I found the cable from an old Syntec arm I had works with the PL-41 arm. Very excited!

Thank you :) @KrautNotRice built the plinth for me. I’ve really loved this table.

I think you will like the arm, its simple yet tracks well. I have a few other tables with more expensive arms on them but I really like the PL-41.

Hope the SP-15 combo works out for you! :)
