Pioneer PL-50Lii needs someone with more knowledge

Hi,

I'm working on this turntable that is new to me.

Having done a full electrolytic recap and replaced diode, motor controll IC, variable pots (and most of the resistors just to be sure).

Now it is almost there. Everything on PA2007 and PA2008 measures as described in the service manual (PL-70Lii - identical motor and speedcontrol pcb and components).

It runs perfectly in 45 rpm, all the functions are spot on, BUT it only runs perfectly with the tonearm lifter activated. When its off/down the motor picks up a little bit of speed 0,02 rpm and looses some stability. I'm really struggeling to figure this one out.

Anyone out there who might have a clue that could point me in the right direction?

The manual is on Vinyl Engine as PL-70L. But I'll post a couple of screen shots.
