Pioneer PL-518 & Dual CS-5000 TT pickup

I posted about picking up Pioneer SX-780 for 125.00 yesterday because it was at a estate sale yesterday for 250.00. I struck a deal with them regarding turntables and went to pickup before doors opened this morning for day 2. Was going to offer to buy pioneer this morning for 125.00 but someone bought it late in the day yesterday for probably 150-200. O well They were asking 150.00 for Pioneer and 250.00 for Dual. Pioneer suffers from no feet which is common and no cart on headshell. Dual is prestine also with no cart but comes with paperwork and box. Unit doesnt turn on which hopefully recapping power supply fixes that. Paid 250.00 for both! Not a scroe but under market me thinks....

I was going to respond to the 780 post, but you were on it. Not that I in any way shape or from could guide you much with pricing. You have helped me numerous times with pricing and are always quick to offer the nola blue book value for those of us in need.

Like you I find those midrange power receivers(50-70w) in demand and typically are reasonably priced. Cleaner the better. They run most speakers that are paired with them often times with room to grow a bit.

518 wood model or metal? Believe they made both.
