Hi everyone. I recently acquired PL-560 which is in pretty good shape. What is the best way to get rid of a yellowish tint on the base. You could see on the pic how much brighter the area with the tonearm mount is. I watched some youtube videos on retrobrite process, but i am afraid to use hydrogen peroxide. Could it damage the lettering and the base?

There is also a small nick that I would like to repair if I can, not sure what I could fill it with and what would be a matching color.

Would appreciate any suggestions as cosmetics is not my are of expertise and I am afraid to do more damage.
Thank you.
