Pioneer PL-560 Monster Truck Edition

Recieved this today.Described as excellent but no feet.I had some tea glasses and racket balls in stock and pimped it out until I can locate some feet.Although it sounds superb as it is.On top of a level Maple Table.Also, had a spare Herbies Way excellent mat hanging around and it fit perfectly.I kicked myself for selling one of these a year ago NM for $350.However, I got this less the feet for just $60.I have a 550 and 570.Next logical step is to obtain a PL-630 and a 590C to complete the collection.The PL-560 is fitted with a nice Empire 500 ID Moving Magnet.See pics attached.

I have a 630 already but just got one of these myself in a package w/Heresys and a Pioneer SA-7700 amp for $250. It has a Shure V15 lll cart in great shape.
 
Might want to check the overhang adjustment. Unusual for the cartridge mounting screws to be all the way forward like that in picture 4.

Not to hijack this thread (maybe just a short detour :D ), but how do you like your 7700? I have one and love it - I think it is one of the nicest looking integrateds out there. Running a PL-12D with a Pickering cart on it - very sweet...
 
I`m probably going to pass it along to a buddy who just found the matching tuner since I have two already, one needing some work in L channel. I like my KA-7100 better sound wise plus own a SA 9500ll in a rack system. Trying to limit collecting to better receivers/turntable combos right now.

Those upper end Pioneer tables have a nice quality about them if set up with the right cart and listened through similar components.

The "Monster Truck" description made sense as soon as I saw the pics! :yes: :D
The TT itself strongly resembles the PL-C590, with that meter. If its performance is similar, it should sound very good! :music: Good luck assembling the set (with C590 and 630) - that would be a great little collection to have! :thmbsp:

The PL-C590 is very elusive to me.I don't think many were made.I have seen 3 or 4 pop up over the last year and I almost had one but the guy would not come down on his price.I might come in hard with the $$$ if the next one I see is Excellent to NM like condition and has a good arm.The 630's seem to pop up at a fairly decent clip.
 
Nice Pioneer TT. I have a set of hock pucks under the stock feet of my Technics SL 1200MK2. The pic in my sig is a PL-516 with an MA2002e cart.
