Pioneer PL 560

Hi, i have a turntable PL 560 from Pioneer
I want to know if the table (grey color) or the base , i don't know the right name,,,, sorry if is the same of the Pioneer PL 516 because the PL 560 had a shock in the corner
Can i use the PL 516 base and replace it in the PL 560 ?? IS THE SAME ??

I believe you mean the plinth.

The PL-560 is a DD unit, whereas the PL-516 is a belt driven one. I´m not sure, but I doubdt the plinths are interchangeable.

Hi, Manuel -

The plinths (that's the word you were searching for) are different so doing a "transplant" won't really work. If the damaged corner isn't too bad it might be possible to repair it, though the silver/gray vinyl isn't repairable. Then if you're really adventurous you could cover the plinth with wood veneer. Several AKers have done that and the results have been terrific.

You could repair it with bondo, then paint the whole plinth with spray paint that has a hammered stone look to it.

I am thinking about your advices.....
the PL 516 turntable is in direct buy on MERCADO LIBRE (E Bay in Argentina) for U$S 30 and is in really bad conditions , but the plinths (wow i did it !!) he he is in great shape
Mine is a PL 560 and in really good shape except for that show in the left corner.......
All the turntable is really perfect and is a beautifull model
I have also a PL 530 like a new and yesterday i bought another PL 530 in same conditions, PL 510 is beautifull and new !! and several of PL 400, 200 etc
